Gateway to the Vale of Belvior
About Us
Abbie and Jake welcome you to The Welby Arms. We offer a traditional English pub experience nestled in the beautiful ironstone village of Denton, just a stone’s throw from the grade 1 listed St Andrew’s Church.
We are close to Belvoir Castle, the Engine Yard, Grantham Canal and Denton Reservoir which is a great place to walk your four legged companion.

Ideally situated for cyclists, hikers, dog walkers and day visitors to the Vale of Belvoir area. Please do pop in for lunch or perhaps a hearty meal from our kitchen where everything is cooked fresh to order, or simply chill in our beer garden whilst enjoying one of our cask ales or a nice glass of wine.

The ancient village of Denton is recorded in the Domesday Book as Dentune, meaning 'village in a valley'. It was once part of the Forest of Kesteven and trees still dominate parts of the landscape.

The Grade 2 listed Welby Arms dates back to 1662 and has been lovingly restored over the last two years, we are pleased to again be serving the Denton, Grantham and Vale of Belvoir area with fine ales and food.
